Recent Outing

It's been a rough year in the sense that Dan started working a full-time job in July on top of pastoring the church. He's gone from early morning until late afternoon each day and then many nights he is either fielding phone calls or visiting someone. Almost every Saturday the past few months we had activities happening. Sunday, of course, is taken up with church.

We haven't had a lot of time together as a family. Our entire married life we have worked together in ministry so it's been a big adjustment. The other day was one of those rare opportunities when we went off and did something as a family. Nathan was at a fire house event so he was not with us but he is not thrilled about walking or hiking anyway so it worked out.

About a year and a half ago a walkway was made over the Hudson River. So we decided to go there and take a walk across the river.

It was a beautiful day; perfect for the walk.

The beginning of the Catskill Mountains is on the other side of the river and it's always a pretty view.

It was a bit chilly, but it was nice to get out and exercise and connect as a family.
