One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

(Sorry for the blurriness)

Today will be an adjustment in our home.  Our middle son, Stephen, is flying out of the nest and spreading his wings.  He leaves to go back to college today.

This is the first child that I've had leave home.  I'm surprisingly peaceful about it, though there have been a few tears.

Of course, I may be a bit cuckoo when he actually hits the road.  But I know he is mature and responsible and has a good head on his shoulders.

Prayers all the way around would be appreciated.  Prayers for safety as he travels the 4 1/2 hours early this afternoon.  Prayers for provision for him as he is on his own.  Prayers that I will remain peaceful and trusting God for all these things.

Chicks leaving the nest is tough on the mama bird!

  6. I know exactly how you feel, Terri. I missed Marybeth so much when she went away to Liberty. Tim cried for a week! I'm happy now that she's nearby, but still we don't see her enough! Tim isn't far behind and he's wanted to go to Gordon College since we visited there in 2010. Boston is very, very far from Wilmington! But he'll go where he feels God is leading. Thank goodness you have facebook!
