Afternoon Refreshment

We bought family passes to our town pool this summer and spent a couple hours this afternoon there. It's a very strange pool in that it's a giant circle. All around the circumference it's a wading pool and then it gets deeper as it gets to the middle. The deepest part is only 5 feet but if you're hot, that's all you need!

Emily enjoyed herself immensely.

The boys swam a bit.

However, they didn't last too long. It's a bit boring for them.

Emily, on the other hand, didn't want to leave.

What are ways you are staying cool this summer?

Comments

  1. That looks like a good way to stay cool. How come we didn't see any pictures of you, Terri? By the way, in the pictures that you showed of your get together for the 4th with church friends, I could see the weight loss in your face. You looked real good. Are you afraid to be seen in your bathing suit? Hmmm! :)

I stay cool by staying inside in an air conditioned house!

    Love,

    Mom

PS Could you post the recipe for your Italian Dressing that you served while we were there. It was delicious and I can make it sugar free.

  2. Well we filled our pool...which we didn't have money for last year. So the kids have splashed about quite abit. We've also just hid in the house with the AC, and had it fixed in the van...oh cold air is sooooo under appreciated!! lol

Other than that...count down to Christmas!!! 167 days...but who's counting??? lol
    Love you,

  3. Look on my sidebar, Mom. There is a new picture of me and Dan taken at the pool this afternoon.

Give me a day or two and I'll get the recipe posted.

    Thanks for the compliment ;-).

    Love,

    Terri

  4. Does it really get much better than that? Starting the day with sausage gravy and spending the afternoon at the pool! Way fun!
