Jam Making

I was rummaging through the freezer yesterday and realized that I had numerous bags of raspberries from two summers ago. I decided to make raspberry jam which is my childrens' very favorite of all.

The smell was wonderful.

The only problem I had was it didn't set properly, so now I'm going to have to start from square one! This happens every summer at least once so I'm hoping this is the one and only batch I'll have to mess with.

It's a great feeling of satisfaction though to see all those jars of jam.

  2. Terri, try putting some apple juice with it, it adds pectin and helps the set.

  3. Yum, raspberry is my favorite! If I have jam that doesn't quite set thick enough, we use it for ice cream topping - yummy!

  6. Looks good enough to eat and Raspberry anything is my favorite. Reminds me of Nana's house and her Raspberry pies. Yummy!!!!
