2011 in Review
Years just seem to fly by lately, especially now that I'm pushing 50! ;-) This year for the second time I decided to look back and review what my year was like. Maybe it will seem more exciting than it actually was that way! LOL!!!!
January
Dan & I were remarking on what a warm December we've had. No snow at all and mostly in the 40s. By early January last year, we had piles of snow.
February
Stephen celebrated his 18th birthday.
Our church had a Chilefest to raise money for an orphanage in Chile.
March
The major event in March was a move to the parsonage. No more commuting 12 miles to go to church!
April
Most of April was settling in to the new house, celebrating our first Shabbat as well as the resurrection of the Lord.
May
We had two birthdays in May.
Nathan's
And Emily's.
June
We celebrated Dan's birthday in June. He ran in a 5K race and came in 2nd in his age group.
Our Anniversary. The worst picture EVER!!!! We both look distorted like we are standing in front of a fun house mirror! lol
And my mom and dad's visit.
July
July was mostly taken up with watching Nathan in parades.
August
August was full of ups and downs.
We went with friends to Lake George for the day.
My father passed away in August and I was able to visit with aunts, uncles, and cousins I hadn't seen in years.
September
September began a new school year in a new school district.
October
The most memorable thing in October was a freak snow storm that left us without power for 4 days. We camped out at the firehouse which was quite the experience! ;-)
November
November was full of fun, activity and celebrations.
A thanksgiving brunch.
An appreciation dinner for the fire department.
Baking what felt like a hundred pies to sell!
Thanksgiving.
A friend's 25th anniversary celebration.
December
December was just as busy!
A ladies tea.
Christmas programs.
A milestone.
Christmas Eve service.
Christmas Day worship & celebration.
And the month is not over yet. We are having a New Year's Eve party here with about 30 people so the next few days will be just as full and busy.
It was a wonderful year!
