Winter's Artist
by Suzanne Bates
An awesome scene the artist paints,
expert and deft his hand.
Brush strokes swift, he draws with ease,
a winter wonderland.
Landscape sketched from memory,
heavens and land entwine
Rapidly the scene is set, exquisitely divine.

| I should have left my hat on for this one. lol |
| I think it's amazing that the curl of the wave is frozen solid. This lake is so beautiful in the winter. |
This week I'm thankful for blessings #3,581 - 3,595.
3581. I landed in the emergency room the other night with a nose bleed that wouldn't stop. I've had one every day since then and the e.r. doctor seemed to think that it was related to the very dry air we've been experiencing. They gave me some pointers on how to stop them and I am thankful that I've gotten the next three I've had under control in a much quicker time-frame. But they certainly aren't fun.
3582. Stephen likes his new job so far. I'm thankful for safety on the road because it involves transporting clients and we dealt with snowstorms all last week right at the time he was on the road.
3583. A productive week and clarity for some things in my life.
3584. Some normalcy and rhythm beginning to return to my days.
3585. A great weekend of food, fun and football.
3586. I'm thankful for the snowshoes I got at Christmas which allow me to get out now and then in the winter. This is the first winter since moving here 5 years ago that we've done anything like this.
3587. As the months get closer before my consecration exam I am thankful that it's starting to seem like those theology questions are sticking in my brain! lol
3588. Homemade candies.
3589. A furnace that kept on chugging away during the frigid temperatures last week.
3590. The scent of fresh baked bread.
3591. Naps on the couch.
3592. Warmer temperatures.
3593. Getting back to sewing a bit and finishing up a couple of projects that have been sitting on my sewing table for over a month.
3594. Cars that kept on working despite the deep freeze.
and finally...
3595. The beauty of winter.
