Multitude Monday
It's dreary and gray this morning and the skies are leaking rain. I am feeling tired this morning and have a headache looming behind my eyes but I'm feeling thankful as I reflect back on another week.
This week I'm thankful for the blessings #3,701 - 3710.
3701. I'm thankful for the beauty of the sunset.
3702. I'm thankful that Emily's car wouldn't start while it was parked in the school lot and not somewhere else when she was out and about. She called us on Friday and Dan was able to get out there to see what was wrong. I'm thankful it was a quick fix (new battery) and that he was able to walk her through what to do and who to call if something happens in the future.
3703. I'm thankful that my husband was able to do the funeral of a 95 year old gentleman who used to attend our church before he went into a nursing home. Dan visited him every week for the past 6 years and so it was meaningful for him to be able to do the service.
3704. The last farmers market of the season occurred on Friday and I'm thankful for good sales and a beautiful day for it.
3706. I'm thankful for yummy desserts made with berries from our backyard (blackberry pie).
3707. I'm thankful that my mom is still doing fairly well. They started internal radiation twice a week and her biggest issue has been when they go to do the intravenous line they can't get the needle in her vein. Her veins are a mess because of the chemo. She had a terrible time of it last Tuesday and ended up being in the hospital all day because of the complications of that, but Thursday went much better. They found the vein on the first try.
3708. I had breakfast out with a group of ladies from church on Saturday morning and I'm thankful for the time of fellowship and good conversation.
3709. Sunday mornings are usually so busy because of all the activity and I never feel like I get to talk to many people. Yesterday we had an impromptu luncheon and I'm thankful that we were able to sit and just chat.
and finally...
3710. A new day, a new week, and new blessings awaiting!
