I Will Trust
So many base their entire lives on their emotions. If things feel wrong, they must be. If I feel sad then everything feels like it's falling down around me. If I feel happy, then all is right with the world.
The problem with this is that feelings are such fickle things, aren't they? Nothing can be done on the basis of feelings because they change like the wind. They are based on vapors. If I had a bad night's sleep, or if it's a hormonal time of the month or I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed they change. And then they change just as quickly to positive feelings.
When I am facing a day full of negative emotions, I often have to remind myself that this is just ONE bad day. Tomorrow will be a new day. I try not to make any drastic decisions during those bad moments. Instead I choose to trust God in the midst of those times of negative emotions and trust that a new day will dawn and things will look brighter.
Can this be your mantra today?
No matter what your situation is - "I will trust."
No matter what your emotions are - "I will trust".
No matter the stress, the anxiety or the pain and problems - "I will trust the Lord this day."
Isaiah 12:2 (MSG) ~
“Yes, indeed—God is my salvation.
I trust, I won’t be afraid.
God—yes God!—is my strength and song,
best of all, my salvation!
I trust, I won’t be afraid.
God—yes God!—is my strength and song,
best of all, my salvation!
"I will trust!"
Amen. I needed this. Regine
