Squeezing out Each Moment
“The simplest things are overlooked. And yet, it is the simplest things that are the most essential.” ― Thomas Lloyd Qualls
“Up to one’s last breath, one may retain the simple joys of childhood. Right to the end, one may intoxicate one’s spirit with flowers, with beauty and with smiles.” ~ Eliphas Levi

Frugality is enjoying the virtue of getting good value for every minute of your life energy and from everything you have the use of. ~ Viold Robin
Each week in my home consists of doing the tasks of cooking, baking, sewing, canning, and cleaning or some combination of these things and then I start all over again the next week. But I truly do enjoy doing it. I find that my greatest sense of satisfaction comes in taking care of my home and family.
The pictures above are a picture of how my week has been when I'm here at home. I'm enjoying the bits of color around our neighborhood, baking bread, making soups and other dishes, canning, making yogurt, sewing.
I am looking forward to the summer when I can get fresh produce from the farmer's market and spend time putting things up for the winter. I love when my pantry shelves are full and I can see all the fruit of my labor.
I'm participating in the local farmer's market and am looking forward to being out in the community and having a booth there.
I am very thankful for the life I have. I wake up each day and am never bored. I love trying new things and each day is a new adventure! For that I am grateful.
Life isn't always easy and there are hiccups along the way, but I want to squeeze every bit of enjoyment out of the life I've been given. I'm not always successful at doing that and have to make attitude adjustments along the way. But the older I get the more I'm loving each moment of my life.
“Happiness cannot be travelled to, owned, earned, worn, or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” ~ Denis Waitley

Can you tell me where the farmers market you are participating is? I would love to see (and purchase) some of your beautiful sewing projects.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask who this is before I give out a location? Just being cautious online. :-)
DeleteTerri, you found such perceptive quotes to accompany your photos.
