It's been a busy week and I'm thankful that I was able to tick almost everything off my list and then some. I do have quite a bit of energy, but there is a point each night, where my body says, "That's enough." "You're done." Usually that happens around 7:30 or so when I sit in my recliner and start by watching something on the television for about 5-10 minutes, and then spend the rest of the show sound asleep!
I've been getting out to exercise each day. (In between taking pictures, of course)!
Making meals in between checking things off the list. I eat plant-based, but do love to make my family's favorites for them.
I stayed home on Monday just so I could get my house back into order. I do love that some of my mother-in-law's paintings are on my walls.
I also made some vegetable broth this week and canned some sauerkraut.
I had three early morning Zoom meetings in a row this week. This one was a leadership committee I head up for our denomination's world fellowship. We are planning an online leadership event for women entitled, "Leading Through Transition". I'm thankful that I was able to get a friend who has a doctorate in leadership development to teach a webinar on this.
It's been exciting to see how God is using some of these connections to open up new doors. My book, Poured Out, which I wrote back in 2014, is being translated into the Guadajarti language and will be distributed to women in India by a local church there.
I've also been able to pull together different women from around the world to write devotionals for our upcoming year and theme in our National women's ministry. I'm so thankful that these devotionals will be translated into Spanish, French, Hmong, Japanese, and a few others and then made available to women around the world through our denomination's world fellowship.
God is on the move and it's exciting.
I'm loving all the different flowering things that are in bloom at the moment. Some of these are so delicate.
In between meetings, putting together a Bible study for a class on Sunday morning, other church work and planning some district events, as well as getting a district newsletter pulled together, I've done some sewing this week.
A friend is the director of a local library and I was able to pull together a basket to raffle off at her upcoming fundraiser.
I am thankful for the quiet time I have each morning as I spend time reading and in prayer. That is the thing that keeps me grounded and provides my strength for whatever I need to face each day. I have been blessed with an abundance of energy to accomplish the tasks at hand, but I also need that time of quiet and solitude each morning. That's what recharges my battery and I know that needs to happen daily.
I have found that I must keep going back to the source of my strength, and spend time resting in the Lord's presence to hear from Him so I can move forward each day.
Have a wonderful weekend!
