Sew Crafty Friday
It's Sew Crafty Friday again. Check out Shereen's blog at Waiting For Him to see everyone's crafts.
I'm just about done with the baby quilt I've been working on. This is the first quilt I've ever made and I probably did it the hard way with a binding and all but I enjoy a challenge. I just need to finish stitching the binding to the back and make a label and then I'm done. That should be finished this week.
Here are the pictures:

Now that I have one quilt under my belt, I may tackle some more!
Wow- that looks really good. I love the colors. I hope to try a quilt soon, if I can ever get my machine consistently working :).
ReplyDeleteHi Honey :) Laura in VA here...are you going thru withdrawl too?? lol I couldn't get on the board this morning, so I rushed right over to see at least one friend :) The quilt looks great. You might try looking up foundation/paper piecing quilts...they're really easy once you figure out the directions...and best yet it makes you look like you're some expert quilter ;) without having to have any real skill! lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Terri, I am so impressed with your first quilt! Its beautiful. I love to make quilts, but haven't made one lately. I've been too busy making bags! I am working on a pink baby scrap quilt as I go by using the leaders and enders system. I want to show the progress on sew crafty friday soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, I'd never guess this was your first. Look how even your rows of stitching are in the back! You sure have a steady hand. I hope this is only the start of more quilts for you!
ReplyDeleteUh oh, I better clarify, Clare. I machine stitched the whole quilt except where I need to tack down the binding in the back. The thought of hand quilting and entire blanket would drive me over the edge! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat has turned out very nicely! You've done a great job, especially for your first quilt! I'm just learning quilting myself. I'm not as far along as you are yet.
ReplyDeleteTerrific Job, Terri. It is really a beautiful quilt and whoever the recipient is, I sure they will treasure it. I really do like your choice of colors. Can I take credit for having such a talented daughter? It must have come to you from my mother 'cause I don't have that kind of talent. :(
ReplyDeleteMom, what are you talking about? You are very talented and I got most of it from you. All it required was following directions so it isn't that amazing of a job. You should see some of the stuff that a lady in our church does. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWell done Terri! (I can't believe it's crafty Friday again already...where has the week gone??)
ReplyDeleteLove, Tina :)
Hi, again! Thanks so much for the sweet comment on the little vintage dress I'm making!
ReplyDeleteI so love how your quilt came out. Fantastic color choices. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteWow! You're so talented! I love the quilt! You must be exquisitely blessed with patience!
ReplyDeleteROFLOL, Aprille!!!!!! Anyone who knows me in person knows that patience is NOT my personality. But thank you for that! I'm working on it ;-).
