Emily's Finished Project

Emily decided for her next sewing project that she wanted to make a lap quilt. So I rummaged through the fabric I had and she picked out what she wanted.

She's been busy sewing away here and there for the past month.

Today she finally finished it. Here is the front.

I think she did an excellent job for her first major project!

  1. Wow, Emily I was nearly 40 before I could do anything like your quilt (and it wasn't nearly as nice as yours)-- very very well done - you're a whizz!

  5. Emily did do a great job! Tell Emily that Debbie J. in NC is very impressed! Go Emily!

I would have loved to do that at her age, but I was much older before I ever figured it all out.

  6. I agree Debbie. I never touched a machine until home ec. in high school and then never did again until I was married.

  9. Beautiful Job, Emily. Sorry, I'm so late telling you. I have been rather busy lately and am just now catching up on your Mom's Blog. Good job, Terri that you are teaching her how to do so many things. It would be so easy to not teach her things and do them yourself but you are doing it the right way and you are to be commended for your patience with your children.

    Love,

    Mom
