Pumpkin

I found the easiest way to process pumpkin today. Normally, I dig all the pulp out, peel it and then cut it up and boil it. However, I found a much better way.

Cut the pumpkin in half and scoop out the seeds and pulp. Lay the pumpkin halves face down on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Scoop out the meat and your done!

Isn't that easy?

  1. Thank you for sharing this tip Terri.
This year I grew Sugar Pumpkins in our garden and they went crazy. I have never cooked my own pumpkins before, so this is really going to help!

  3. Hey Melissa,

No. Just take a sharp knife and pierce the skin and kind of roll the knife down. Then do the same to the other side. These were not as bad because they were sugar pumpkins so they were small.
