Thankful Hearts
I Chronicles 29:10-13 ~
David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, "Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.
I have so many things to be thankful for this week. I can say that my heart is truly full!
♫ Older brothers who are willing to let Emily hang with them. By the way, those are airsoft guns. We're not a hand gun (or any gun) toting family! ;-)
♫ The opportunity to bless the faculty and staff at Emily's school with homemade cookies.
♫ A blogging friend who blessed me by sending a gift, "just because".
♫ A happy boy who passed his Regents test. New York State has these horrid tests that high school students have to take. If they don't pass the test with at least a 65%, they won't get credit even if they passed the class. Stephen has three Regents exams this week. The test won't be offered again until January so he would have to try and take it again then. He just found out that he passed his Global History exam and was very enthused!
He still hasn't heard about the Living Environment test and he has an algebra test to take tomorrow. Please pray for him. He has Generalized Anxiety Disorder and test taking is a huge anxiety for him and he does not do well on tests at all. His history teacher told Dan that he thinks Stephen is extremely bright, but just struggles with test taking.
♫ For another happy child who is getting her cast off today.
♫ For a huge list of projects that need to get accomplished this summer. The boys have not been able to find jobs (though they are still looking). In the meantime our landlord is going to pay them for the little projects they get done around here.
What are you thankful for today?

I am thankful for good news from our doctor. Looks like we are in the clear for now and hopefully for a long time to come.
ReplyDeleteLovely post Terri, so many things to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteSeeing the pic of Stephen, I just had to tell you this...
On my way to church today I saw Stephen's DOUBLE, walking along the street! The funny thing is that I was about to wave to him...LOL! ...how crazy am I?? So, you can tell Stephen he has an identical twin living in a small, Scottish fishing village! :)
