Ephesians 3:14-21 (The Message) ~
My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.
God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Glory to God in the church!
Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!
Glory down all the generations!
Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!
Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!
Glory down all the generations!
Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!
This past weekend was one of refreshment. A weekend of peace. A weekend of laughter. A weekend of tears. And a wonderful reminder of how much my God loves me.
And He loves you as well. We limit God so many times. We limit Him in our minds. In our hearts. In our spirits. We keep Him small.
And yet, He is so much MORE than anything we can imagine. He can do more than we can even think. His love and power are limitless and yet, we keep Him limited because of our doubt and disbelief. We keep our lives dry and brown and drab because we struggle with accepting His unending love.
I've seen Him work miracles. I've seen things happen that should never have occurred. I've seen Him move in ways that were beyond my wildest thoughts.
And still I doubt. I struggle. I feel uncertain so many times. My hope and prayer is that I can continue to keep remembering His great power. My prayer is that He will continue to work within me. That I will come to the point where I don't continue to limit the Lord!
And that, my friends, is the biggest miracle of all! That He can take my selfish, self-centered, and broken self and turn it around and make me into a woman who strives to be like Him.
Amen! Excellent post and a message that I need every day! Thanks!
