We are on the cusp of Easter, and this year it has suddenly become a difficult one. I have no plans for tomorrow other than going to church in the morning. We will see what the afternoon holds. On Thursday night, my mother-in-law took a turn for the worse and developed a high fever. She has an infection, the sepsis is back, and the pressure wound on her ankle has not healed and is open down to the tendons. Yesterday, she was put on hospice care and it's now a waiting game. Wow, that's funny...I escaped to the ocean today too! :) Glad you enjoyed your well-earned break, Terri! xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you all were able to get away on such a lovely trip. We don't have an ocean in Illinois, but we do have the Mississippi River! We did a road trip too upriver looking at lovely leaves, hiking for 3 hours in a lovely forest, doing a bit of shopping in historic Galena, Illinois, eating a picnic lunch and later a wonderful supper at a cafe on the river and just enjoying being together and God's creation. Hope you are refreshed now have a lovely week, Terri.
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Kathy in Illinois
I am happy you got away. I think getaways are a necessity in this busy world. Hope Emily gets over her hives fast.

I see where you blogger buddy, Kathy, commented on Galena, Ill. That is the most adorable fun town. Only been there once but would love to go back. So many shops and places to eat. Terri, you would go nuts there.
