A Weekend Full of Blessings

This weekend was about family.  One thing I'm seeing in the process of transition is how much ministry can consume you.  It can take over to the point that you don't see family as much as you'd like.  My brother-in-law is a pastor and the director of a Christian retreat center and my sister is very involved in the ministry.  Over the course of our married lives, we have lived as close as 45 minutes away and as far as 8 hours away from them and it seems that no matter how far or close we still only get to see each other maybe once or twice a year.

This weekend, I decided to take the whole weekend and spend it with my sister and her family and I'm so glad we did that.  It seems like no matter how long it's been, the cousins pick right back up where they left off.  My sister and I were able to talk and compare notes and encourage one another.

I'm so thankful for the following blessings this weekend.

♥ Going back to the mountains where I grew up.

♥ Time with family.

Being able to love on this little guy all weekend.

♥ Cousins who look like sisters and love each other.

♥ Seeing a picture of my handsome dad that I haven't seen in years.

♥ Giggling girls, getting ready for the movies.

♥ Sons, growing into men.

♥ A husband who still loves babies.

It was such a wonderful weekend!  I came back uplifted and relaxed.

  1. Good Morning, Terri. Great list of blessing. Emily and her cousin sure do look alike and Stephen is very handsome. You and Dan will be grandparents some day. It will look good on you. :-)
