Multitude Monday

Since November is the month when we often think of giving thanks, I thought it was appropriate today to start with a Psalm.  We should have thanks in our heart year round but it is good that we have at least one month that causes us to pause and offer up some thanks.

Psalm 148 (NLT) ~

Praise the Lord!...

Praise the Lord from the heavens!
Praise him from the skies!

Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all the armies of heaven!

Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you twinkling stars!
Praise him, skies above!
Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!

Let every created thing give praise to the Lord,
for he issued his command, and they came into being.
He set them in place forever and ever.
His decree will never be revoked.

Praise the Lord from the earth,
you creatures of the ocean depths,
fire and hail, snow and clouds,
wind and weather that obey him,
mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all livestock,
small scurrying animals and birds,
kings of the earth and all people,
rulers and judges of the earth,
young men and young women,
old men and children.

Let them all praise the name of the Lord.
For his name is very great;
his glory towers over the earth and heaven!
He has made his people strong,
honoring his faithful ones—
the people of Israel who are close to him.

Praise the Lord!

This week I'm thankful for blessings #2585-2595.

2585.  Hearing from our International Workers and what the Lord is doing through their ministry in other countries.

2586.  We were out every single night this past week with meetings and various other things.  Yet, despite the fact that I normally hate being out at night, I felt peaceful.

2587.  New keyboards for our church that enhance the worship and sound beautiful.

2588.  Creating beautiful things with my sewing machine and by hand.

2589.  Coming to the conclusion that something that has been causing me stress is really "not my problem" and letting it go.  Not easy for me at all! ;-)

2590.  My daughter was tremendously encouraged by finding out that a friend an author is interested in using one of her drawings in her new book.

2591.  Beautiful worship that was enhanced by a guest musician yesterday who played with us.

2592.  Reminiscing with one of our International Workers about our time at the same college.

2593.  Flowers from my husband.

2594.  Date night.

and finally...

2595.  Constant reminders to give thanks.
