Multitude Monday

It's been three weeks since I last did a Multitude Monday post and I think I'm long overdue.  There have been so may wonderful blessings over the past few weeks and while I've been writing them in my prayer journal, I've missed doing it here.

This week I'm thankful for blessings #2730 - 2754.

2730.  Revelations about myself.

2731.  Sunshine

2732.  Sitting on my deck in the cool of the morning.

2733.  Colorful birds singing each morning.

2734.  Digging my hands in the dirt.

2735.  The smell of fresh, growing things.

2736  The warmth of the sun on my face.

2737.  God's faithfulness in the midst of my unfaithfulness.

2738.  Raising half of what we need for our mission trip.

2739.  Dew that cause the lawn to sparkle like precious gems.

2740.  Preparing meals for my family.

2741.  God's word which is true and does what it says.

2742.  Tress full of blossoms.

2743.  Warm sweaters in a cool breeze.

2744.  A good husband.

2745.  Longer days.

2746.  He is slow to anger and rich in love.

2747.  God doesn't repay us as we deserve.

2748.  A safe and inspirational trip to Colorado Springs.

2749.  Being able to accomplish much last week to get ready for a leadership training retreat this weekend.

2750.  A uncomplicated knee surgery.

2751.  So far, God's healing for a very speedy recovery.

2752.  A church family who has provided meals the past three days.

2753.  Visits from friends.

and finally...

2754.  An overwhelming sense of God's peace in my life.

The choices we make can either be good or bad. So many don't realize that even our attitudes and feelings are a choice. We have a choice each day to make that day one in which we will react to our circumstances or choose not to react. Oh What to Do; I'm Sixty-Two!

Today is my sixty-second birthday and it's hard to believe I've achieved that....um....seasoned age! My first thought this morning was one of not being sure that I like it. However,  as I thought I about it, I decided to take joy in the fact that I've reached an older age. Because age comes with benefits. Benefit #1 - I'm a bit wiser.   When I look back at some of the decisions I made when I was younger, I cringe. With age has come the ability to slow down and think things through before I make major upheavals in my life. I've also discovered that getting worked up about certain things is just an absolute waste of emotional energy. Benefit #2 - I'm enjoying my life.   As I've aged I've learned all kinds of skills and hobbies and can honestly say that I'm never, ever bored. Eating to Live

  Despite the unexpected busyness and interruptions, I have been plugging away at my weight loss as well as writing the plant-based, whole food cookbook. Recipe testing fell by the wayside the past two weeks, but I've still gotten a good chunk of the book done. I also got on the scale this morning for another one pound loss which makes a total of 61 lbs. since I started this journey back in July. It's second nature at this point and I have so much more energy and feel healthy. The only negative is that because I've lost so much weight I'm seeing some sagging, crepe-papery skin happening. Yuck. Some of that is age and I need to figure out some toning exercises. It's definitely a life-style change, but a positive one which I'm so thankful I started on.
