Multitude Monday

I traveled a total of 1,600 miles this past week and 1,100 of those were by myself. That's the furthest I've ever driven alone and I'm so thankful to have made it down to my mom's and back safely. My biggest concern was getting sleepy while I drove but for the most part I was alert the entire trip. It was a good week but I was so happy to be in my own bed last night.

Normally, I've already posted my Multitude Monday post but wanted to get started on things this morning. It's been a long day but I did manage to get a lot accomplished including cleaning out my closets and drawers. It's back to a daily routine and I have a busy week ahead.

But I want to stop and reflect over the past week and be reminded of the many things I'm thankful for in my life.

This week I'm thankful for the blessings #3,676 - 3,685.

3676. As I traveled I stopped here and there so I could get out and stretch and walk for a bit. This was a beautiful place on the way through West Virginia. One of the places was New River Gorge.

3677. My mother has paintings that her aunt had done and they were beautiful. My grandmother used to paint too and my mother also has a few paintings she has done as well. I'm not sure why the talent didn't continue on to me but I'm thankful for the talented women in my family.

3678. I got to spend a short evening with my sister and we took her to the airport the next day. I'm so thankful for her. It was a fun few hours.

3679. As I mentioned my mother was admitted to the hospital for a blood transfusion as well as her chemo treatments. I'm thankful that she handled it well and was feeling very energetic the next day.

3680. I love nature and seeing the unexpected. I was thankful for the sight of this little guy and being able to shoo him across the driveway and onto the grass.

3681. My grandmother is 95 and has Alzheimer's. I'm thankful that I got to see her on Friday even though she didn't really know who I was. I'm thankful for my mother who spends a few hours 3-4 days a week with her and makes sure she is being well cared for.

3682. I'm thankful for the beauty that is all around us!

3683. Dan and I went out on Lake Erie yesterday morning with my brother-in-law and I'm thankful for early morning on the water and good conversation. We made it back in just as the thunder and lightning started so I'm thankful that we were able to squeeze time on the lake in.

3684. Dan, me and the boys drove back home yesterday and I'm thankful for the fun conversation we had with them.

and finally...

3685. I had a good night's sleep and am thankful I woke up refreshed.
