Multitude Monday

This life is not an easy one. Most days it's a step by step grind that is difficult. We get up each day, go about our business, go to bed and get up and do it all over again. Days stretch into weeks and then months and years.

However, when we can begin to take joy in the small normally unnoticed moments in our lives, I do believe we will gain a perspective that will bring richness to our life. It's in the appreciation of the ordinary that our life begins to take on a deeper quality that it normally wouldn't do.

I'm not talking about going around being awestruck by everything, but being aware of the wonder of creation means we aren't taking things for granted. The reality is all of life is truly something for which to be thankful.

God's hand is in the smallest detail and when we begin to see those minute details we will begin to have a deeper appreciation for all that is around us - from bunny whiskers which help rabbits measure the girth of passageways and openings in the dark to the larger and more majestic scenery around us.

This week I am thankful for the following:

❥Back-lit reeds.

❥ The beauty in a tree stump.

❥ Beautiful patterns on a garter snake.

❥Sun-lit jars of infused-oil.

❥Being able to celebrate my mother-in-law's 87th birthday with her by bringing lunch.

❥Sourdough working it's magic in beautifully risen bagels.

❥Delicious loaves of lemon-lavender bread.

❥The delicious flavors of a few simple ingredients.

❥The meaning behind these symbols.

❥The ability to come up with different meals each day.

❥Being able to get out and walk again.

❥ God's protection over my children.

❥ God's new mercies each morning.

❥ The joy I find in organizing and planning events.

and finally...

❥ God's hand in all the little details.
