    How cute! This reminds me of my dog! Let me explain... My son, when he's home, gives our dog Annie the leftover milk from his cheerios. One morning my son told me to come look at Annie. She had a milk moustache!!!! She was drinking the leftover milk from her bowl and had milk on her upper lip! We couldn't stop laughing! I told my son I should take a picture and send it to the Milk Council! I wonder if they would have put Annie in a commercial????

When the Unexpected Pops Up

On Thursday afternoon, just as Dan and I were getting ready to leave for a meeting, we received a phone call from our son. He was sitting on the side of the road with a blown engine in his car. The problem is he lives 3 1/2 hours away. After back and forth phone calls he called a tow truck and got it towed to a garage. He ended up renting a car and headed here for the holiday. We've been working with him to figure out his next steps because he still owes thousands of dollars on the car which will also take a significant amount to replace the engine. His rent is going up in the new year. His seasonal job ended and he is trying to find something else, but needs a car for that to happen. His car still has not been looked at by the mechanic. It is all more than a little overwhelming. Long story short, we extended an invitation for him to live here temporarily so he can get out from under all of this. Down an Old Familiar Road

We are on the cusp of Easter, and this year it has suddenly become a difficult one. I have no plans for tomorrow other than going to church in the morning. We will see what the afternoon holds. On Thursday night, my mother-in-law took a turn for the worse and developed a high fever. She has an infection, the sepsis is back, and the pressure wound on her ankle has not healed and is open down to the tendons. Yesterday, she was put on hospice care and it's now a waiting game. Her pain is being managed and she is provided comfort, but no other medical intervention will be happening. I've been down this road before with my own mother and it's hard. And this decision stirred up memories of that terrible time 5 years ago. It's difficult to know how long it will be and it's hard to make decisions of any kind about anything.
