Crafty Things

I decided to forgo the link-up for Crafty Things.  No one was participating and I started feeling like the unpopular kid back in high school!  LOL!!!  I'd rather just create my things and show them as I can.  It's much better for my sanity. :-)

This week I did a custom order.  I made a table runner and 8 placemats for a friend who just moved into a new house.  She picked the color scheme and I thought they turned out very nice.

Here they are!

Close-up. I love how the yellow border brings out the yellow in the flowers.

I also cut out 4 aprons for gifts for the girls in my 3D Girls Club.  Their closing program is Sunday and we are giving them aprons and a cookbook of the recipes they made this year.

What have you been up too?

  1. Hi Terri,
I have been sewing like crazy this week. But,
not much to show for it. I have been sewing for a lady that wants me to do the construction and she will do the finishing herself. I made 36 gingerbread men from tea dyed muslin and she will decorate them.
6 handkerchief dolls and 7 raggedy ann dolls.
but she will dress them and do the hair.
I just did the faces and put them together.
She pays me for my time in sewing them.

Your placemats and runner are lovely.
nice colors and you do such neat work.
Hope you have a great weekend.

  3. Lovely, Terri! We have been enjoying some nice weather here so I have been spending more time outside lately. I did make a fabric notebook cover and a small fabric gift pouch this week though, and I was thinking of linking up this week, but then I went and mailed them off and forgot to take a picture anyway! :)

I love to see what you are working on!

    Blessings on your weekend,
    Sharon

  4. Aaaah! Your placemats and table runner are just lovely! I can't seem to finish my projects fast enough... I think it has something to do with the toddler-shaped little thing that occupies my days... 8-D

Working on a blanket and a jersey at the moment... but not anywhere near finished.

    Love your sewing!

  5. Liezel, you made me laugh! Those little ones do have a pesky tendency to slow us down. :-)
